The upgrade of Seven Hills High School will provide new specialist vocational education and training (VET) facilities as part of the NSW Government Vocational Schools Pilot Projects Initiative. This initiative was established as part of a 2019 election commitment to provide up to $34 million to build specialist training facilities at two existing high schools in Western Sydney and the North Coast.

The pilot project aims to provide students with the skills, support and access to trades and vocational pathways to enable them to succeed in the 21st century.

 The proposed vocational facilities will primarily focus on the following industry areas:

•  Human Services

• Construction (Electrotechnology and Plumbing)

• Supply chain (Logistics)

• Business and Financial Services

• Entertainment (Live Production and Technical Services).
