In this activity, you will investigate the difference between physical health and physical illness and apply your knowledge and understanding from lesson 1.
Physical health refers to the state of your physical body and how well it's operating. It relates to aspects of your lifestyle such as your food intake or diet, your physical activity levels or amount of sedentary behaviour. Physical health also relates to your levels of physical fitness and the absence or presence of sickness, disease or injury.
Think about physical health on a continuum.

Definition: A mental illness is a health issue that significantly affects how a person feels, thinks, behaves, and interacts with other people. It is diagnosed according to standardised criteria. These might include depression, anxiety, schizophrenia or bipolar mood disorder.
Definition: A mental health problem also interferes with how a person thinks, feels, and behaves, but to a lesser extent than a mental illness.
