Learning in mathematics requires a combination of explicit teaching and rich contexts in which to practise, play and explore with mathematics.

In the contexts to practise section you will find lots of games and hands on activities where students can practise and develop fluency and deep knowledge of the concepts taught in the targeted teaching section.

You can use this site in a number of ways. One is that you dip in and out of the activities. Another is to follow a learning sequence. In the learning sequences examples section, you will find examples of how the content fits together and possible ways of organising it for your students or your child.
