Activity 2 - Animals near your home

Ask permission to go outside for a walk to find animals near your house (they may be a bird, small insect).
In your workbook:
Make a list of all the animals you can see or hear.
Choose one animal and watch it for 5 minutes.
Write down some words to describe what the animal is doing

List three animals you can see or hear.
Is this too easy?
Watch a second animal for 5 minutes
Describe how different the two animals are.
Create
Make a map of your backyard or room of your home using materials from your home.
Start by collecting the materials you will use.
Use the materials to build your nature map.
Don't forget to ask permission if you need to go outside.

Create a map on a piece of paper of your backyard or room
Is this too easy?
Consider how you would change your backyard or room. Add things to your map that you wish you had.
