From Monday 11 May, students will begin Phase 1 return to school. As a result, the modified timetable will be changing for students both at school and at home.
Students will initially return one day per week, with the schedule of those days available in the image on the left.
Students who are unable to work from home can still come to school each day.
All students, whether at school or at home, will be following the modified timetable below. We aim for all students to be on their Google Classroom during that time and for all staff to be on their classroom during that time.
As we begin our phased return to school, it's important for students to understand what the expectations are during this time. The video is a lesson that will be given to students on their return to school, outlining what Phase 1 at QHHS will look like, and how students can stay SMART during that time.
In the following sections, you will find information divided into specific year groups. The first document provides general information for students on how to log in and additional learning opportunities.
As we move forward, students will be moving to engaging with their classroom teachers in individual Google Classrooms for that class. Students will need to make sure they are enrolled in the correct Google Classroom for each subject, and further details about the work will be provided there.
In the Google Sheets for each year group (links labelled 'Year X information'), you will find a list of all the classes, the teachers, their email addresses, and the Google Classroom codes. These documents will continue to be updated as more information becomes available. For privacy reasons, these documents can only been seen when logged in using a DoE staff or student account.
Students are expected to engage in work from home in order to keep their attendance marked as 'Absent - Flexible'. The process that staff and the whole school will be following in the event of the non-completion of online learning can be found at this link.
Support Google Classrooms will be commencing on Tuesday 28 April (first day back of Term 2). All our support students have been sent another work pack which will carry through Term 2, and includes a 'How to go onto Google Classrooms', to assist our families.
The Support staff are entering student email addresses in each classroom so that our students will not need to worry about codes. They will only have to go onto Google Classroom and select the 'Join' button.
With external teachers, such as art, language, technology and science, please check student emails as codes may come through as links, if the "Join" button has not come up through their specific Google Classroom.
