Skoolbag App

Our school has our own iPhone and Android App to provide a secure communication channel between the school and the Parent/Carer/School Community.

Skoolbag also provides an easy way for our school to notify parents of events in the school. No more lost paper in student school bags! School newsletters, school notes, alerts and more can be sent directly to your smart phone. This is especially useful for cancellations due to weather events etc.

We are asking parents/carers to install our Skoolbag School mobile app. Click on the link below to view the instructions for installation on your device and the downloads for either apple or android devices.

Online Payments

Plattsburg Public School now has the Parent Online Payment option for families. This is a secure payment page hosted by Westpac. Payments can be made using either a Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card. The payment is accessed by clicking the "make a payment" menu item at the top of this page or via this link.

Make a Payment

You have the ability to check and change any details of the payment before the payment is processed. Receipts can be emailed and/or printed.

Details of the payments are passed daily to the school where they will be receipted against your child's account. As a receipt has been issued from the payment page a further receipt will not be issued by the school.

Items that can be paid include voluntary school contributions, excursions, sales to students and creative and practical arts activities. There is also a category called Other this to cover items not covered in the previous headings. These details are entered each time you make a payment as student information is not held within the payment system. When you access the $ Make a payment you must enter the student's FULL name, school grade and date of birth.

Even though there is also the option to enter the Student Registration Number and Invoice number, please leave blank as these are not used at our school.

Cash and cheque payments are still gratefully received at our school office. Remember: always place money/cheques in a sealed envelope with student name, class and activity. Then place in the School MONEY BOX in the office foyer.

If you have any further questions in relation to the online payments, please do not hesitate to contact our school office.

P&C Association

Plattsburg Public School has an active P&C who meet each month during school terms. Check our newsletter and Facebook page for P&C meeting announcements. All school fundraising initiatives are coordinated in conjunction with the staff and the P&C. The P&C organises different activities to raise additional funds for school programs and equipment. In recent years, pie drives, special event raffles, trivia nights, and various other activities have been organised by the fundraising committee of the P&C. Parents are encouraged to support the fundraising.

School Banking

School Banking is a fun, engaging way for students to learn lifelong money-management skills.

At Plattsburg our banking day is FRIDAY with students dropping their bank books into the canteen or their teacher. Students earn Dollarmites tokens which they can redeem for great rewards. Our school receives a commission on every deposit and $5 for every Activated Account via the program.

Interpreting and translations

We will help you communicate with our school. If you’d like an interpreter for a school meeting, let us know and we will arrange one, if available.

If you don’t speak or understand English well and want to contact us, call TIS National on 131 450 and ask for an interpreter in your language. The operator will call the school and get an interpreter to help. This service is free.

For more information, listen in your language.

Visit the department’s translated documents section for important information that’s relevant for your child’s education in many languages.
