Professional learning opportunities

Game-based learning in sport and physical activity

Teachers are encouraged to complete the School Sport - Game-based learning in sport and physical activity e-learning to develop their knowledge and skills of implementing a game-based approach in school sport.

Thinking while Moving

The School Sport Unit - Thinking while Moving e-learning course supports teachers in applying the theory of Thinking while Moving into their teaching practice. The course is based on a successful research study into a curriculum-based physical activity integration program known as EASY Minds (Encouraging Activity to Stimulate Young Minds). The research study measured the impact of children's daily school time physical activity levels and their engagement and 'on task' behaviour in mathematics.

Delivering engaging sport and physical activity programs in K-2

The School Sport Unit - Delivering engaging sport and physical activity programs in K-2 e-learning has been designed to meet the professional learning needs of K-2 teachers in the delivery of quality sport and physical activity programs. The course provides strategies for delivering engaging sport and physical activity programs and improving classroom teaching practice.
