WALK & TALK CHALLENGE

For this challenge grab a pet or family member and go for a walk in your local area (keeping a safe distance apart) for at least 20 minutes

Try these random conversation starters to get the talk flowing

  • Batman or Superman?

  • Is it ever ok to lie?

  • If you could have 1 superpower what would it be and why?

It you take your pet and it joins the conversation, make sure you get that on video


TECH BREAK

For 50 points take some time out from your tech.

For the points to count it has to be for a minimum of 1 hour.

It can include

  • Reading a book

  • listening to music,

  • drawing,

  • colouring in

Do not use technology in this time.

If you can do this every day it is an easy 350 points for the week.

Meal times, school work offline and sleeping don't count



FAMILY TIME

This challenge is all about your social health.

Spend time playing a game with your family.

It can be a card game, board game - anything thing that has you all interacting.

If you wanted bonus points, include your family in your active play. This 50 + that 200.

STORK STANCE BALANCE TEST

For an easy 50 points balance on 1 leg for as long as you can.

procedure: Remove the shoes and place the hands on the hips, then position the non-supporting foot against the inside knee of the supporting leg. The subject is given one minute to practice the balance. The subject raises the heel to balance on the ball of the foot. The stopwatch is started as the heel is raised from the floor. The stopwatch is stopped if any of the follow occur:

  • the hand(s) come off the hips

  • the supporting foot swivels or moves (hops) in any direction

  • the non-supporting foot loses contact with the knee.

  • the heel of the supporting foot touches the floor.
