Pulse Alive 2023 - Absolutely Everybody - Introduction
Duration: 00:28Safety tips for online movement classes if you are rehearsing at home
When you decide to take part in these activities you agree to the following:
You have been given approval from your parent/caregiver prior
You will clear a spot big enough to give you space to move around. Be sure there are no coffee tables, plants or chairs in the way.
Be aware of any pets or small humans that may sneak into your dance space.
Check the height of ceiling fans and light fittings so the area is clear as you reach above your head.
You will wear comfortable clothing that allows a full range of movement.
This will include appropriate footwear:
Sneakers, socks, ballet slippers, jazz shoes or bare feet.
You may have to adjust based on the flooring you are dancing on.
Bare feet may be better than ballet slippers on a slippery floor. Socks may be better on carpet.
Be careful if you are on a rug on a slippery floor.
If you have an injury or a medical condition please follow the advice of your health professional. It is suggested you view the exercises beforehand and adjust according to your limitations. Ask your parent/caregiver if you are unsure.
Please stay safe and listen carefully to all the instructions.
If you study dance please think about your knowledge of safe dance practice as you execute the instructions.
This soundtrack can be used to rehearse each sequence or to rehearse the item once all sequences have been mastered by the students.

Coloured Pulse Alive t-shirt – this is the show t-shirt that is included within your student resource fee and is a different colour depending on which item your school is in.
Pulse Alive 2023 - Primary Dance (purple) to Absolutely Everybody are in purple t-shirts!
T-shirts will be delivered to schools in mid-late February 2023.
Long black tights/pants – supplied by students.
We are pretty flexible on what these are, as long as they are full-length. Boys can wear black tracksuit pants or black jeans.
White ankle socks – these will need to be supplied by students.
White shoes with WHITE soles – supplied by students. See photos for examples.
White shoes are available at a low cost from stores like Kmart, Big W.
Any white shoes are fine as long as they also have white soles (this is so we don’t damage the flooring that we will be dancing on).
It is fine if the top of the shoes have small sections that aren’t white – as long as white is the dominant colour.
All students in Pulse Alive 2023 will perform in the finale. Students in primary massed dance will perform the finale from their seats within the arena.
The seating cast finale includes:
Have a Little Faith
Like a Drum (playoff).
Schools are asked to learn the finale as part of their Pulse Alive 2023 rehearsals at school.
Minimal opportunity will be available to rehearse the finale at your segment rehearsal so it is important that you spend the time at school learning this choreography.
