Bar Beach Fieldwork

As part of the unit on Environmental Change and Management, Year 10 Geography participated in a fieldwork trip to Bar Beach on Friday 17th March. Students engaged in a series of geographical activities such as observational assessment, field sketches and atmospheric readings focused on the investigative study of the coastal environment.

These activities supplement the upcoming assessment task (Wednesday 29th March) where students will be asked to apply their understanding of coastal management strategies using case studies. It was an extremely hot day (so hot we forgot to take photos!) so well done to everyone for powering through (the supply of hot chips and Zooper Doopers at the lunch break at Dixon Park hopefully helped!)

Thank you to the Year 10 students and HSIE teachers - I am sure everyone slept very well on Friday night!
