Food: Different by Design
Hidden messages
You will need:
White paper
Coloured pencils, crayons or textas
Different coloured cellophane such as red, green and blue
underwater fireworks
You will need:
Clear / transparent cup
Oil (¼ cup)
Food colouring (as many colours as you want)
Small dish
Stirring stick
Water (⅔ cup
Pop and catch
You will need:
2 soft plastic cups
A 30cm round balloon
Tape (any type will do!)
Scissors
A small pom-pom, cotton-ball or scrunched up ball of paper/aluminium foil
Magic flowers
You will need:
A cut out of the paper flower (right)
Markers, pencils or crayons
A cup or bowl with a tablespoon or
two of water.
Hand sanitiser
You will need:
A container (a small cup, cardboard box or plastic bowl will work perfectly)
Isocol or Isopropyl Alcohol (anything that is more than 60% alcohol works well) -
Aloe Vera Gel - Scents (oils or fragrances) these are not essential to have though
A funnel - Pump or squeeze bottle (if reusing a bottle wash before use)
Meandering mAths
You will need:
An area of nature with a variety of trees and other plants, such as a backyard, garden, park, local
bushland, or national park.
Finding patterns: A camera for taking photos of plants, or paper and pencil for drawing.
Measuring a tree: A helper, ruler, and tape measure.

something to cut the flower with (Only cut things with adult supervision)
tweezers
stickytape
Animal Detective
An area of nature with potential animal habitats, such
as a backyard, garden, park, local bushland, or National Park.
Take some binoculars if you have them
Camera (optional)
