They also need to start using the computer keyboard and know where to find each of the keys. Dance Mat Typing and Big Brown Bear are both fun typing practice for younger children. No login required.
Bee Bot Emulator:
Code.org provides a range of coding activities for all ages. Students can access all activities without logging into the website. Activities have age suggestions provided.
If students remember their picture password they click on the following link and log in to keep a record of their progress:

If they cannot remember their picture password all activities can still be accessed without logging in.
Bebras 365 Computational Thinking Challenge
Available as a free resource throughout the year. These are the question sets from past Bebras Challenges with students receiving immediate feedback on questions.
A free block-based programming tool targeted primarily at children. Children are required sign up for scratch and provide an email.
At school we use Minecraft from Years 3-6 and link it to learning in maths, science, geography, history and digital technologies. However, younger students also love using Minecraft.
Minecraft is free to all NSW DET students. They log in using their scholl email (first.last@education.nsw.gov.au) then their usual DET username and password. It can be downloaded for free from the Microsoft store.
