Care for your family

It can feel stressful and overwhelming during an event like the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and we can all be affected differently. You or your children might feel overwhelmed by the information, conversations and the increased levels of stress in your community.


How to Reach Out

Asking for help can be really hard, especially if you feel stressed or confused. Getting the support you need during tough times can help you get through the situation, give you strategies to deal with the situation and give you some perspective.

Year Adviser

If you want to speak with the Year Adviser for your students year group you will need to email the school email address:

murwillumb-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au

In the subject you can put "Attention Year (your students year group) Adviser"

In the email, include your name and mobile number as well as your student's name.

You can also call the school on 6672 1566 and leave a message with office staff.

The Year Adviser will call you during school hours when possible.

Please be aware their call may come up as "private number" on your display.


School Counsellor

While working from home and practising social distancing it is important to take care of your mental health and seek support when needed. While schools are operational, school counsellors will be at school as usual.

If you want to speak with the School Counsellor you will need to email the school email address:

In the subject you can put "Attention School Counsellor"

In the email, include your name and mobile number.

You can also call the school on 6672 1566 and leave a message with office staff.

The school counsellor will call you during school hours on their normal counselling days when possible

Monique Willis (yr 8,10,11) - Tuesday and Friday.

Rob Dickison (yr 7,9,12) - Wednesday.




School Chaplain

If you want to speak with the School Chaplain you will need to email the school email address:

The School Chaplain will call you during school hours where possible from Tuesday - Friday
