YPS Student Representative Council (SRC)
The YPS SRC has been working hard this semester and has introduced three new initiatives to help fundraise for our chosen charity, headspace, and also for our school. These are Pyjama Day, the Pie Drive and Sushi Day!
Sushi Day
YPS Sushi Day is held every Wednesday at lunchtime. We came up with the idea in our SRC meetings, and with some help from the P&C, we made it happen! It’s a day all about one of the best foods—sushi! We’ve heard so many kids cheering when their sushi gets delivered, and chatting about it with their friends on the playground. It makes us really proud to see how much everyone is enjoying it.
Pie Drive
Pies, pies and more pies!
This term, we’re running a pie drive to help raise money for our school. There are lots of yummy options like meat pies, apple pies, veggie pasties and even gluten-free pies. We’ve made posters that you might have seen around the school and put in lots of effort to make this fundraiser great!
Pyjama Day
On the 26th of June, we’re holding an epic Pyjama Day where you get to wear your favourite pyjamas to school! Don’t forget to bring a gold coin donation to help support headspace, a mental health service in Australia that supports young people aged 12–25 and their families. Headspace helps people with things like sleep, mindfulness, and finding peace of mind. We hope everyone has lots of fun!
