Year 7 is a special year group, filled with students who bring unique talents and creativity to everything they do. Now it’s time to apply your skills in geometry to design!
Geometry is an essential part of great design. You’ve learned about different types of angles and parallel lines—now put that knowledge to the test by creating a logo, motif, brand, or any beautiful design of your choice.
Your Task:
Include Four Types of Angles: Your design must feature at least four different types of angles (e.g., acute, obtuse, right, reflex) that are clearly labelled.
Use Parallel Lines: Your design should include parallel lines as part of its structure.
Add a Constraint: Pick one design rule to follow. For example, you could use only acute angles, only quadrilaterals, or focus on symmetry.
Incorporate School Colours: Your logo must use our school colours—Orange, Blue, White, and Green.
Success Criteria:
Your work will be assessed based on:
Accuracy in using and labelling geometry (e.g., correct angle types and parallel lines).
Creativity and visual appeal of your design.
Clear incorporation of the chosen constraint and school colours.
Let your creativity shine while showcasing your geometry skills!
1. Submit your design as both a screenshot and a .GGB file (from GeoGebra).
2. Carefully label all four angles directly on your design.
2. Your reflection statement which includes an explanation of your design and a screenshot of your design.
3. Submit all your work through GOGLE CLASSROOM WORKSPACE. Ask your teacher if you are unsure how to do this.
