Branxton Public School
Welcome to the Branxton Public School transition to school site.
Branxton Public School is situated in a semi rural setting in the lower Hunter Valley, on the traditional lands of the Wonnarua people. With a strong history of over 150 years of education, the school works in partnership with parents and carers to ensure all students achieve their personal best.
At Branxton Public School we believe every child should be challenged to learn and continually improve through the delivery of evidence based whole school practices. Teachers, parents and students work collaboratively to maintain our school expectations of Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best.
This site provides you with all of the links and information to enrol in kindergarten for 2026.

At Branxton Public School ‘Little Pups’ is part of our transition to school program. It provides an opportunity for our 2026 Kindergarten students, to develop friendships and participate in weekly play-based learning sessions. Each session will be coordinated by experienced and qualified teachers. The focus during these sessions will be on school readiness and fostering a positive attitude toward starting school. These sessions will run for 10 weeks during Term 3, 2025.
'Little Pups' serves as a bridge between Preschool and Kindergarten, ensuring that children enter their new educational environment with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive. The program offers activities that promote early literacy, numeracy, and social skills development, equipping children with the tools they need in the classroom.
'Little Pups' sessions are held at BPS in our OOSH hub. Click the tab below to book a session. You can opt in to a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday session. Each week your child will attend on that day for the duration of Term 3 (10 weeks). Our first session will be on Wednesday the 23rd of July (Week 1) and finish Friday the 26th of September (Week 10).
Session times are:
Wednesday: 9:20-11:00am
Thursday: 9:20-11:00am
