Aboriginal connection to land and country is a deep, spiritual, and reciprocal relationship that forms the core of identity, culture, and wellbeing, extending beyond a mere physical environment. It encompasses not just the land, but also waterways, plants, animals, and ancestral spirits, forming an interconnected system of belonging and responsibility. This connection is often explained through Dreaming stories that pass down knowledge, history, and the responsibility to care for the land for future generations. 

‘Look after Country and Country will look after you.’

This Ancestral Law, handed down through the generations, teaches us to harvest resources sustainably, maintain biodiversity, protect the rights of all species, and care for scared sites and song lines.
