STEP 1: As a group you are to answer the following questions
a) Who is your philosopher?
b) When did they live?
c) Where did most of philosophical ideas come from?
d) What were his philosophical ideas?
e) How are his ideas relevant to the world we live in now?
STEP 2: As a group create a 3 minute script using your answers from step 1
Tips for writing your script:
NOTE: EACH MEMBER WILL BE TEACHING A DIFFERENT GROUP ABOUT YOUR PHILOSOPHER
Address all the questions from step 1
Spend more time explaining the philosophical ideas and its relevance to today’s world.
A 3min script is about 390 words
Practice your script to check your timing.
Include what philosophical ideas you disagree or agree with and why (Hint: this might make up most of your time)
STEP 3: Presentation
You will split into different groups; one philosopher in each group.
You will take turns presenting your script about your philosopher.
The person sitting opposite to the presenter will be the scribe.
The scribe writes down what the presenter says.
