Early Stage 1

Students: Abigail Jones and Matilda Raine

Curriculum Area: Mathematics

Description: Students were introduced to a geoboard and allowed time for exploration. The teacher then demonstrated how to make a triangle by joining 3 dots with one dot in the middle. The students were asked to make triangles with one dot in the middle.

Stage 1

Curriculum Area: Science

Description: Stage 1 have been learning about Archimedes’ buoyancy principle, by designing and constructing our own boats then testing them! We learnt the buoyant force pushes upwards against the boat.

Stage 2

Student: Hayley Becker (S2G)

Curriculum Area: English

Description: In English, students discussed the features found in fiction and non-fiction texts. They organised this information into a table. Then using the features, they looked at a range of texts and decided whether they were fiction or non-fiction. Mrs Grisbrook took a photo of the book sort and the students pasted the photo under their table of features.

Description: Watch the video to see Stage 3 describe a recent History lesson where they have been learning about Australian federation and the creation of the Australian constitution.

Student: Wyatt Pollard (MCP)

Curriculum Area: HSIE

Description: In Week 11, MCP discussed the importance of ANZAC Day and some of the symbols we use to remember the ANZACs. Students were then given resources to make their own poppies, however, they chose. Wyatt chose to use tissue paper and a plate to create a poppy.
