I would like to finish the year by congratulating students on their hard work, achievements, and growth over the past year.
Throughout the year, all students have shown incredible growth. However, growth goes beyond academic results. Though many students have achieved outstanding marks and distinguished themselves in their studies, growth means courage. Stepping outside their comfort zones to take on new challenges, persevering through setbacks, and embracing learning in all its forms. Whether it was mastering a difficult concept in class, improving their time and skills in sport, or developing confidence through public speaking, every milestone is a testament to their resilience and determination. These experiences shape their character, and we could not be prouder of how far every child has come.
As we celebrate this growth, it’s equally important to emphasise the focus we have placed on student wellbeing throughout the year. We know that a student’s ability to learn and thrive depends heavily on feeling safe, supported, and emotionally strong. Our school has invested in programs that support mental health and build social connection. Access to chaplaincy and counselling services have helped create a caring environment where students can seek help without hesitation and develop healthy coping strategies. I encourage all students to continue prioritising their wellbeing, because this foundation will support your success not just now, but throughout life’s many twists and turns.
Of course, the successes we celebrate today would not be possible without the extraordinary efforts of our teachers and staff. Their dedication is the heartbeat of our school. They show up every day with passion, expertise, and a genuine belief in each student’s potential. It is through their guidance and encouragement that students are empowered to challenge themselves and achieve beyond what they thought possible. I want to express my deepest thanks to every teacher and support staff member who contribute to making our learning community so vibrant and welcoming.
I am also incredibly proud of the outstanding facilities our school offers, which play a crucial role in supporting student learning. Our modern classrooms, well-equipped robotics lab, dedicated music space, and expansive sporting facilities provide students with the resources and environment they need to explore their interests and develop their talents. These facilities enable innovative teaching strategies and hands-on learning experiences that make education both engaging and effective. It is thanks to the ongoing investment and care from our school community that we can offer such a high-quality learning environment.
In addition to academic pursuits, our thriving extracurricular programs play a vital role in shaping well-rounded individuals. From sporting teams to music ensembles, musical theatre, debating clubs, and environmental groups - these activities offer students a chance to explore their passions, develop leadership skills, and build friendships. Participation in these programs teaches values such as teamwork, resilience, and time management, which are essential for success beyond school. I want to acknowledge every student who has contributed to these programs and the staff who have volunteered their time and energy to support them. Their commitment enriches our school and creates memories and experiences that will last forever.
Finally, I would like to highlight the importance of our strong community partnerships. I want to sincerely acknowledge and thank our parents and families for their unwavering support throughout the year. Your involvement whether through attending school events, assisting with homework, volunteering, or simply encouraging your children to strive for their best, makes a profound difference in our students’ success. Strong partnerships between home and school create a cohesive and nurturing environment where students feel valued and motivated. Your commitment to engaging with our school community strengthens the foundation on which our students grow and thrive, and for that, we are grateful.
I hope you and your family have a well-deserved and safe Christmas break. We look forward to welcoming your child back in 2026 on Monday 2 February.

Lost Property
There is an overwhelming amount of lost property in the school. While Mr. Warner previously spoke to children during assemblies, please ensure all items include jumpers, hats, lunch boxes, plastic containers and water bottles are clearly labelled with your child’s name. Please feel free to have a look at our trolley located near office building opposite the library. At the end of Term 4, any lost property items without names will be disposed of.
Parent Emails & Contacts
To prepare for the beginning of the new school year, it is imperative that parent email addresses, phone numbers and other contact details are correct in our system.
If you have recently changed any of your contact information (phone number, email, address, emergency contacts, etc.), you are asked to update your contact details via the School Bytes Parent Portal. We also ask for parents to ensure your email inbox has space so you do not miss out on any important information at the beginning of the new year.
Thank you in advance for your preparation as we take the step in providing our families immediate access to digital information.
The uniform shop will be closed over the holiday period. The last trading day was Saturday 13 December, 2025 from 9am - 10am. The uniform shop will reopen on Saturday 31 January, 2026 from 9am - 10am.
Congratulations to Amyra B for having her artwork selected to feature on Mark Hodges MP's official Parliamentary Christmas card. The Christmas Card Design competition is open to all students in Years 3 to 6 who attend a local school. This year’s theme is ‘What Christmas Means to Me’. Amyra was presented with a Community Recognition Award and a gift voucher by Mark Hodges MP. Congratulations Amyra for this outstanding achievement!
JRPS P&C – End of Year Message
As we reach the end of Term 4 and the final school newsletter for the year, the Jasper Road P&C would like to take a moment to reflect on what our school community has achieved together in 2025.
Thanks to the support of families, staff and volunteers, the P&C was able to contribute to a range of initiatives that directly supported JRPS students — including new PSSA sporting uniforms, classroom resources, creative learning equipment, and the continuation of much-loved school and community events. These contributions help enhance learning experiences and foster a strong sense of connection across our school.
None of this would be possible without the generosity of parents and carers who volunteer their time — whether helping at events, supporting planning and coordination behind the scenes, or stepping into leadership roles. Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Looking ahead, we are excited to share that lots of exciting events are planned for 2026, including many of the community favourites. We look forward to sharing the full calendar early in Term 1.
We also warmly encourage families to consider getting involved with the P&C. There are many ways to help — including behind-the-scenes roles such as communications, social media, website support, year-group liaison, event coordination, and executive positions. You don’t need experience or large amounts of spare time — just a willingness to support our school community.
Come along and see behind the scenes - the next meeting will be held on Monday 23 February 2026 – we hope to see you there! Any questions please do not hesitate to email us at info@jasperroadpandc.org.
P&C General Meetings are held on Monday evenings at 7:00pm and are open to all members of the school community.
While confirmed dates will be shared early in 2026, meetings generally follow this structure:
Term 1: Weeks 5 and 8
Terms 2 and 3: Weeks 2, 5 and 8
Term 4: Weeks 2 and 5
We encourage all families to attend whenever they are able.
Thank You
We would like to sincerely thank Mr Warner and the JRPS staff for their continued support of the P&C throughout the year. Working together, we are able to achieve positive outcomes for our students.
To the students and families who are moving on from JRPS this year — thank you for the contribution you have made to our school community. We wish you every success in your next chapter.
On behalf of the Jasper Road P&C, we wish all families a safe, happy and relaxing holiday break, and we look forward to seeing you in 2026.

Canteen Payments
May we ask if you are paying cash for your child's order or sending spending money, where possible please send coins or smaller value notes. We have limited change available and struggle to change large notes of a morning.
Flexi Schools is a cashless option where canteen orders can be placed each day or even days/weeks in advance. This removes the worry of lost change or forgetting to hand in the order. Ordering can be done for any item on our menu including ice blocks.
If you have placed a recess order, please let your child/ren know to join the "Express Line" at the canteen to collect the order.
Lunch orders are delivered to the classroom, however, if you have ordered any of the following items, please ask your child/ren to collect them from the "Express Line" at the canteen:
Noodles
Ice Blocks
Jelly
Changes or Enquiries for Canteen Orders
Should you need to change or cancel your child's canteen order, we kindly request that instead of contacting the canteen or school directly, please reach out to our Healthy Canteens Office, where multiple staff members are available to assist you promptly. Contacting the school or canteen can disrupt lunch preparation and experience delays in communication.
Contact Details:
Office Phone: 02 9836 2270 or 0405 219 242
Timing: Please make any changes before 10:30 am.
SMS Service: You may also use our SMS service to cancel an order. Simply text us with the following details:
School Name
Child's Name & Class
We will process the cancellation and send you a confirmation SMS.
Important Note: We regret we are unable to hold orders. Instead, cancelled orders will result in funds returning to your FlexiSchools account. This policy ensures clarity, especially in cases of delayed student returns or changes in onsite staff.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. By following these guidelines, we aim to enhance efficiency and minimise disruptions for all involved parties. Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
