• Jacques Lecoq was an actor, director, teaching and theorist of actor training (1921-99).
• He ran a highly acclaimed theatre school in Paris, now called Ecole Internationale de Theatre Jacques Lecoq.
• At the end of his life, Lecoq wrote about his teaching pedagogy in the book, The Moving Body.
• Some companies that have been greatly influenced by Lecoq's work include Theatre de Complicite, Mummenschanz, Footsbarn, Theatre de Soleil.
