Learning From Home

Ironbark Ridge Public School has moved to ‘Learning from Home’ and online learning platforms for students. Teachers are developing lessons and assignments as well as providing communication and feedback via Seesaw (K-2), Microsoft Teams (3-4) and Google Classroom (5-6). In addition, students are participating in interactive lessons via Zoom Video Conferencing. In order to engage with this platform, students and parents must agree to the Department of Education’s guide on ‘Student Use of Digital Devices and Online Services’. At Ironbark Ridge Public School, we understand that flexibility is the key to working with our families and students as we continue our ‘Learning from Home’ journey. At this challenging time, many parents will be balancing working from home, whilst supporting their children with learning.

Message from Mr Thomson

Welcome to our Learning From Home Hub.

So much in our world has changed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic… but learning and personal growth continues for us all.

The amazing Ironbark Ridge Teachers are continuing to work hard behind the scenes and ‘remotely’ to ensure their learners can continue along their learning journeys. Individual class and grade Learning Units are being delivered via the online platforms such as SeeSaw, Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom, with updated links constantly added here in the Hub. In addition, this Hub provides you with convenient access to a range of additional online learning tools to suit our Stages of learning.

Our Ironbarkers, even the youngest, are showing us that they can be RESPONSIBLE and take control of their own learning. They are being RESPECTFUL in their communication online, and SAFE while navigating the many activities in cyber-space! (PBL From Home)

Our aim is to ensure that everyone within our community feels connected, supported, and confident.

Every teacher connecting with every child every day - even if it’s just to say “Hi!” - That’s our goal!

Please advise the school if you require additional support. Our staff have a wealth of experience and knowledge to lend a hand, and a range of resources and agencies that we can refer you to if needed.
