Microsoft has just released a new tool within PowerPoint to help staff and students in improving their presentations and public speaking.
It is called 'Presenter Coach' in PowerPoint, which uses artificial intelligence. It gives you real-time on-screen feedback to improve public speaking. This includes helpful tips on pacing, including inclusive language using too many filler words such as "basically," or "um" or "like" and avoiding the sense that you're just reading the slides. PowerPoint will allow you to enter in rehearsal mode and at the end of the session you will be given a report with feedback on improvements.
