Features of places: Bobbin Head

Stage 1: Pre and Post excursion activities

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work. We would like to pay our respects to the Elders, past, present and emerging and acknowledge our Aboriginal Elders and knowledge holders who have helped us to understand the special connection Aboriginal peoples have with the land.

Teacher information

This resource supports teachers who will be attending Gibberagong EEC for a field excursion. The learning tasks included in this package are designed to be programmed and completed by students prior to and after attending the excursion. Students maximise their learning when they have engaged in learning tasks both prior to an excursion and upon returning to school. Students develop a better understanding of the content, knowledge, skills, values and attitudes when they have engaged in pre-learning about the excursion site, relevant content linked to the unit of study and associated learning outcomes; and post-excursion learning tasks add value to the excursion visit and consolidates their learning.

A Student Workbook accompanies this resource and can be downloaded below.
