By entering the Multicultural Family Lunchbox Challenge, entrants ('Entrant'/'Entrants') agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may render an Entrant ineligible for the competition.
Entrants must submit their entries ('Entry'/'Entries') via the Multicultural Family Lunchbox Challenge entry form on this website ('Entry System'). Any entry form or supporting materials received via other methods will be discarded and will not be considered a valid submission.
All entries must follow the submission guidelines, and entrants must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria for their chosen category, as outlined on the Competition Details form of this entry system. Please double-check your files before submitting your entry. If we are unable to view your submission, we will not be able to judge your video.
The entry system operates through Google Forms, and most video files should be accepted.
To be eligible for the competition, entrants must complete the online entry form and submit their video as described by the close of entries: 5:00 p.m. AEST, Friday 4 October 2024.
The competition is open only to NSW Year 6 & high school students (Years 7-12) during 2024. All entrants must either attend a school in NSW or be homeschooled in NSW.
Vouchers will be awarded to the winners: first place = $500, second place = $300, and third place = $200. There is also a $200 People's Choice Award.
Entries can be in any language or have no dialogue at all. Audio (or important on-screen text) in languages other than English must have English subtitles.
Each video may be submitted only once. Entrants may submit multiple entries if each differs significantly from the others submitted by that entrant.
All videos entered must have been created specifically for the Multicultural Family Lunchbox Challenge 2024.
Entries become the property of PERU. All non-finalist videos will be deleted after three months. Parental and guardian consent will be sought for all finalists. If consent is not received, the video entry will be deleted. Only videos with signed consent will be considered for a prize. Winning videos will be used by PERU at their discretion.
Ensure you have permission to feature everyone in your video, and a consent form will be required for each person (the consent form will be sent at a later date).
All copyright, moral rights, and rights of personality for all content, including music and actors, must be cleared. As per the Copyright Act, you may use up to 10% of the original material in your final video. Failure to clear these rights will result in the entry being removed from consideration in the competition. If such videos are uploaded, PERU has a duty of care to report them to the appropriate authorities.
Marking criteria will be used to assess each video, and each video will be scored against these criteria. The competition judges' decisions are final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding the judging process, or any outcomes reached.
All personal information, such as your name, school, year group, email address, and gender, is collected solely to administer this competition and will not be used for any other purpose without your consent. By providing this information, you consent to it being used by PERU for the stated purposes. Parents/guardians will be notified if you are a finalist and must sign a permission form for your entry to be considered for a prize.
