Key Dates for 2024

Kindy Orientation Sessions:

• Session 1: Thursday 7th November 9.30am-10.30am (While the children are in classes, parents and carers are invited to attend an information session on: key dates, what to expect in the first weeks of school, Best Start Assessment and school readiness.)

• Session 2: Thursday 14th November 9.30am-10.30am  (While the children are in classes, parents and carers are invited to attend an information session on: purchasing uniforms, after school care (Gowrie), scripture choices, canteen and school lunches and extra curricular opportunities.)

• Session 3: Thursday 21st November 9.30am-10.30am (While the children are in classes, parents and carers are invited to a Welcome to the community morning tea - Tea, coffee and a chance to meet other parents and families at Drummoyne Public School)

We ask that you arrive at 9:30am for a 9:40am start. Please try to avoid arriving to school before 9.20am as the playground can be busy before school starts. 

Our Year 6 leaders will meet you at the main entrance on Rawson Ave and will direct you to the area outside the hall to sign in. Children will be placed in colour groups which will be indicated on their name badge. The teacher leading orientation sessions will meet parents and students on the coloured humps in the South playground area. Please note, we will be changing the children's grouping  session to enable us to observe your child interacting with a range of peers.

While children are having fun getting to know each other and becoming familiar with school, parents are invited to attend informative workshops that will be held in the hall.

• Term 1 – Thursday 6 February to Friday 11 April 2025

Years 1-6 students return: Thursday 6th February 2025

Kindergarten students commence: Thursday 6th February 2025

• Term 2 – Wednesday 30 April - Friday 4 July 2025

• Term 3 – Tuesday 22 July - Friday 26 September 2025

• Term 4 – Tuesday 14 October - Friday 19 December 2025
