Boyz Crew is all about bringing boys together through Hip Hop dance, and we want you to be part of it! After an incredible first year in 2024, we’re back - bigger and better -to showcase the amazing talent of boys in dance.
This exciting program is open to NSW public school boys in Years 5 to 9, whether you're a seasoned dancer or just looking to try something new. You'll team up with a professional choreographer to create an electrifying performance for your local regional festival - dancing as part of a high-energy Crew.
Over 3 rehearsal workshops, you’ll connect with other boys, master impressive moves, and build the confidence to own the stage.

Super Crew opportunity: Be part of something bigger! Selected dancers will unite with other rural crews to form a Super Crew at the State Dance Festival in Sydney.

Boyz Crew is open to boys of all abilities. Previous dance experience is not essential, just a positive attitude and a commitment to giving it a go!
Interested students are required to have a parent/carer complete the Boyz Crew - application form 2025 by Friday 11 April 2025 (Term 1 Week 11).
Following the close of applications, school principals will be contacted to endorse the participation of the nominating students.
All boys who are endorsed by their principal to participate will be accepted into the Crew.
Students will be notified of confirmation of acceptance into the Crew in Term 1 Week 8.
Cost
Cost
A participation fee of $50 is required for each participant in the Boyz Crew. This fee will cover tuition and a crew shirt.
Students will be required to pay this fee to their school upon acceptance into the Crew and schools will be debited for student participation. Payments will be due by Friday 23 May 2025 (Term 2 Week 4
Please let the school SAM know that you are paying for Boyz Crew 2025 when making a payment.
Students will also be required to supply a pair of black pants (jeans or tracksuit pants) and black joggers to wear with their Crew shirt for the festival.
Choreographers
Choreographers
The Boyz Crew will be guided by two incredible professional choreographers, Neale Whitaker and Pete Evans. Both bring extensive experience from the dance industry and have a proven track record of working with students of all abilities. Every year, Neale and Pete collaborate to choreograph the hip-hop performances for Schools Spectacular, a testament to their expertise and creativity.
We're thrilled to have them on board for Boyz Crew 2025 and are confident that all students will benefit from this unique opportunity to learn from choreographers of such high calibre.
