ZOOM protocols

Online learning will start for all students on Wednesday 29.4.2020. Please note, that many teachers will now be able to video conference with your child using the ZOOM platform. This platform may now be used with both junior and senior classes. A set of protocols for using ZOOM has been established. These can be found at the back of the Student Online Learning Handbook which was sent out last term. You will also find instructions on how to access Zoom classes. Most importantly, it is important to note the following when accessing the video conferencing platform:

• Students must be dressed appropriately;

• Students should be in a quiet space with no family members or pets in the room;

• There should be no personal or inappropriate items in the video shot;

• Mobile phones and additional devices should be switched off;

• Notifications on the device used for video conferencing should be switched off;

• Students should only turn on the audio when speaking and must ensure that the audio are switched off prior to leaving the meeting.

Your child will be sent a link via google classroom prior to any class requiring video conferencing. Students should refer to the Student Online learning Handbook and join the meeting 5 minutes prior to the start of the lesson.
