Students must complete TWO options in the HSC Legal Studies syllabus. Each option is examined in the HSC through essay writing that link the syllabus content with the themes and challenges.
World Order is Option 7. Through the use of contemporary examples, students investigate the effectiveness of legal and non-legal measures in promoting peace and resolving conflict between nation states. It includes examination of a range of international responses to world order issues, including the role of the Australian government. Students MUST investigate the four contemporary issues set out in the syllabus but can use a range of real life examples.
