Tuesday, November 5th 2019 Back to 1919 - Old Fashioned Day at School and Dress Up
The aim of holding our centenary in Term 4 is to provide an authentic historical experience to support our students learning of the past. To immerse them in the time period a Back to 1919 Day is planned. Students will be following the same lesson routines as in 1919 and will be a low technology day. A traditional sports afternoon will also be held.
To assist with students entering into the spirit of the day we are asking students to come dressed in period costume.
Clothing for the day can be sourced from their existing wardrobe or borrowing from friends or older siblings please do not go to any expense.
Girls: Long or calf length skirt or dress, boots or enclosed shoes and broad brimmed hat or school hat.
Boys: Long Shorts or pants/jeans, shirt (no logos) socks and boots or enclosed shoes and broad brimmed hat or school hat – braces if you have them.
