"Special Needs in the Language Classroom"
This presentation features Rebecca Colagreco, Spanish and Teacher of the Visually Impaired, as she shares strategies to accommodate students with special needs in the world language classroom.
Rebecca Colagreco taught over twenty years as a high school Spanish teacher for Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Areas of need in her experience there and as a middle school Spanish teacher in Maryland led her to expand her skill set. She earned a Master's of Education in Bilingual / Bicultural Education and English as a Second Language from La Salle University. Rebecca has also earned a post-doctoral Certificate of Teacher of the Visually Impaired from Kutztown University. Rebecca has recently moved from the Iowa Educational sErvices for the Blind and Visually Impaired to Elwyn Special Services Provider where she will be Coordinator of Bilingual IEPs for ages 3-5.
