The Pre-Qualification Round:

To prepare for the Pre-Qualification Round and showcase your awesome shoutcasting skills, make sure you complete these steps:

• Understand the Game Plan: I will carefully review the rubric to fully understand how my shoutcasting will be judged. This is my guide to success!

• Practice Makes Perfect: I will actively practice shoutcasting Super Smash Bros. Ultimate matches. I'll use all the skills and notes I've gathered from our lessons (like understanding game mechanics, character abilities, map layouts, and strategies).

• Build My Shoutcaster's Notebook: I will create a detailed Shoutcaster's notebook. This will be my go-to resource, filled with key game data, character notes, fun facts, and team insights that I can use during a live or recorded broadcast.

• Prepare for My Broadcast: For the pre-qualification submission:

  • I will receive a specific Super Smash Bros. Ultimate match recording.

  • I will record my team's shoutcasting over this match.

  • I will review and refine my commentary, ensuring it's the best it can be.

  • I will create a final shoutcasting video of my team's performance.

  • I will submit a final video along with an example character write up that I created in my shoutcaster notebook. (can be a picture taken of your notebook, or a pdf of one of the pages you created)
