Darla Middle Secondary School was established in 1961 and it is located on the lower slope of Darla Gewog under Chhukha Dzongkhag near the Bhutan Board Products Limited (BBPL). It lies about 6 kilometers away from Thimphu-Phuntsholing National Highway at Jumja junction near Gaeddu. The school serves the educational hub of Darla as well as Bongo Gewogs and other sectors such as BBPL, THP, DoR, RNR, RBP and the surrounding communities based on the immediate needs of their children. The school is categorized as a semi-urban school. Currently, the school has all the basic facilities for classes ranging from PP-X.
