Description:
- In this showcase video, Ms Castellanos and Ms Pangilinan from PS18 shows how they implement Google Classroom and I-Ready during the Reading Block.
- Students use devices for learning on a rotating schedule. Each student has one session each week to complete an independent reading response assignment, a guided reading extension assignment, and an I-Ready assignment for a total of 3 sessions (30 min. per session).

Teachers created an interactive e-book using Google Slides for students to read a text and respond to questions as they read. Students self-assessed at the end, and teachers provided feedback both during and after the activity.

Teachers created assignments for students to practice a reading skill or strategy with a grade-level text.
4th Grade:

Teachers created differentiated writing assignments to provide scaffolds to specific subgroups of students. They label the assignments by color, and assign them to specific students in Google Classroom with the "Assign To" feature.

Teachers used Google Classroom to allow students to draft and publish a writing piece. Extensive feedback was given to students to support the writing process.
