About us
The Official School of Languages of Mérida (EOI Mérida) is a public center for language teaching and certification, with more than 30 years of experience.
From our headquarters in Mérida (Extremadura), a UNESCO World Heritage city, we offer courses in German, French, English, Italian, and Portuguese, promoting quality multilingual education accessible to young people and adults (from 14 years old), at levels ranging from A1 to C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Our school is part of the network of Official Schools of Languages in Spain, centers specialized in language teaching and certification, dependent on the education departments of each autonomous community. As such, EOI Mérida contributes to the personal, cultural, and professional development of our students, forming globally competent individuals in the use of second languages, committed to inclusion and respect for diversity.
What We Do
From EOI Mérida, we promote lifelong multilingual education and high-quality certification, supporting mobility and the personal, cultural, academic, and professional enrichment of our citizens. We are committed to fostering personal development and advancing a pluralistic, inclusive, and democratic model of society.
Our Goals
Our vision is to establish ourselves as a leading official center for language education and certification, aligned with the values of the European Education Area. We strive to provide high-quality training that equips our students to face the challenges of a globalized and multicultural society. We see ourselves as a hub for active community engagement, sharing experiences, and learning from other institutions at the local, regional, national, and international levels.
Our Values
Our core values encompass the promotion of multilingualism, equality, inclusion, diversity, sustainability, social and civic responsibility, through both formal and non-formal learning activities, and the democratic principles of European citizenship.
