Play
Regulation e.g. calming down when they are distressed
Social and communication skills
Senses e.g. sounds, lights or textures
ND conditions are a group of conditions which are affected by the way someone's brain develops. They are very common. They may be the result of genetic or environmental factors, or a combination of both. They usually appear in childhood.
ND conditions are life-long and can impact on daily activities and family life. Understanding your child's abilities and difficulties can help you support your child to flourish.
Autism, ADHD, Developmental Coordination Disorder/ Dyspraxia, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Coordination Disorder and Intellectual/ Learning Disability are assessed through the ND Assessment Pathway.
