Longniddry Literacy Week 2025
A huge thank you to Ms Hart, Mrs Boog and Miss Thomson for making our literacy week such a huge success with lots of exciting activities and interesting visitors. Thanks to our Parent Council for also supporting us by paying for our author visits.
Author Danny Scott visited P2, 3 & 4 to talk about his Scotland Stars FC books and there was even a penalty shoot out!
Judy Hayman spoke to our P3 & P4's about her Dragon Quest books and her job as an author.
Hope Webb a BBC Scotland Journalist spoke to P6's and 7's about her job.
P6 & P7 did some book 'speed dating' where they had one minute to tell each other about the books they were reading and make recommendations to each other
Abi Elphinstone writes the Ember Sparks series of books and she shared this with P5, P6 and P7.
Junior Road Safety Officer 2025
Our new JRSO's were out recently doing a playground survey of how many people walked, cycled, scooted or came to school by car. They are now keen to look at where people park if they bring a car to school and are planning a campaign to look at safe parking around the village .......... watch this space!

Spifox Christmas Carol Concert 2024
We were delighted to be asked to perform at St Cuthbert's Church in Edinburgh as part of the Spifox Christmas Concert raising money for a range of local charities. Well done to all our choir and to those who did readings in the church. We're very proud of you all.
Spifox Christmas Art Competition
Huge congratulations to Connie and Oona for winning the recent Spifox Art Competition.
Their art work was auctioned off at the Spifox Charity event and they raised an amazing £2000 for children's charities.
Mrs MacFadyen, Miss Skinner and Mrs Hardie were excited to help serve the Christmas lunch today. Thank you to our lovely kitchen staff for always working so hard and for serving us with another delicious festive lunch.

STEM & DYW Week December 2024
We had huge fun last week during our STEM and DYW week. We had lots of visitors come to talk to us about their jobs (DYW) and about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Thank you to everyone who helped us.
November 2024
As part of Anti Bullying Week 2024 we had a whole school focus on kindness. In our Focus Friday groups we worked together to think of ways we could be kind to one another. We also talked about our school values of kindness and respect and added our ideas to a leaf on our kindness tree.
October 2024
P3 led our Harvest Assembly this year and gathered over 900 items for the East Lothian Foodbank. What an amazing effort from everyone in Nursery to P7 for such a great local charity. Thank you P3.
