EDUPack: Co-teaching and team-organised teaching
The visitors are introduced to the concept of team-organised teaching. Two or more teachers are educating the same class together and participating evenhandedly in planning, execution and assessment. Co-teaching gives more possibilities to a flexible approach tailored to pupils’ individual needs in learning and talent development. Pupils’ phase of learning can be taken into account effectively.

EDUPack: Physically active culture in the school
The visitors are introduced to the Finnish schools on the move –concept. Physical activity can be increased by adding more physical education lessons, promoting active commuting and encouraging physically active breaks. During schools lessons, sedentary behavior can be decreased by implementing active learning methods involving short active breaks, in order to support optimal learning and avoid long periods of continued sitting.

EDUPack: Tutor teachers and co-teaching
The visitors are introduced to the concept on tutor teaching. Tutor teacher is helping teachers and pupils to adapt new ict-competence, transversal competence and coaching methods. The educational priorities of the tutoring are modelled in digital tutor cards, which help teachers to choose appropriate content to their pupils and themselves.

EDUPack: Learning environments and open learning spaces supporting learning styles
The visitors are introduced to open learning spaces and modern learning environments that give pupils multiple choices to use different learning styles. Pupils make individual study plans based on teacher’s weekly learning menu. Easily configurable learning environments can be used for independent studies, teamwork, teacher-directed lessons, different learning styles, explorative learning etc. Digital learning spaces are generally used to support learning.

EDUPack: In-hospital teaching, multiprofessional cooperation
The visitors are introduced to the concept of in-hospital teaching focusing on the education of young people (aged 13-18) in psychiatric treatment. In this kind of education the emphasis is on pedagogic rehabilitation and multiprofessional cooperation between teaching and caring staff. The education and teaching is focusing on maintaining pupil’s ability to schoolgoing. The hospital school also provides consultation services.

EDUPack: Emphasis on the transversal competence and phenomenon based learning
The visitors are introduced to the concept of transversal competence and what it means when the teaching and education is focusing on thinking and learning-to-learn skills. The phenomenon based learning combines at least three subjects’ content on instruction to one cross-curricular study module.
