SCHS Graduation Requirements
Academic Expectations
Students must meet the Alberta Education requirements for a High School Diploma or High School Certificate of Achievement by having met the expectations of at least 100 credits, with 10 - 30 level credits that is not Social and English, PE 10 and CALM completed, Science (can also have 10 credits in Sci 14 and Sci 10) and Math to a 20 level and English and Social Studies to a 30 level. (K and E certificates have different expectations and will meet with a grade counsellor to plan programming)
Attendance Expectations
Students cannot miss more than 20% of the school year or else they are not eligible to participate in our graduation ceremony.
Fees Expectation
All fees must be up-to-date.
Grad Costs/Banquet Fees
Grad ceremony is a school function and will be planned and operated by SCHS. The Grad parent committee will plan the grad banquet and will set the costs for this additional event. The grad committee will form a planning group that is also responsible for the implementation of the banquet. The grad banquet fees are not the school's fee or responsibility.
