Meet out School Resource Officer, Cst. Wills.
A School Resource Officer (SRO) is a community-based police officer with specialized training, assigned to work within schools to help create a safe, supportive, and caring learning environment. Constable Wills, who has served in the police force for 18 years, is currently based out of the Morinville Detachment. We’ve been grateful for his visits to our school this month. Whether he’s giving tours of his police cruiser, engaging in classroom discussions, or handing out “Acts of Kindness” tickets in the hallways, Constable Wills brings energy, positivity, and excitement to our school community.

If your child will be absent from school, you may report that absence by emailing lilianschick@sturgeon.ab.ca or calling the school at 780-921-2200, if your call goes to voicemail please leave a message, the messages are checked frequently.

Welcome back to school! We are excited to support you through another year of learning, growth, and new experiences. Remember, the door is always open if you need someone to talk to or help navigating any challenges that come your way.
Handle with Care
Handle with Care
If your family is experiencing difficulties at home, we would like to provide additional support at school. We understand that you are not always able to share details and that's okay. If your child is coming to school after a difficult night, morning or weekend, get a message to the school saying "Handle with Care". Nothing else will be said or asked. We will inform all staff of the "Handle with Care." We will look to support your child as they may need extra time, patience or help during the day.

Youth enjoy free admission to the Fitness Centre and Field House every Friday night (6:00pm-9:00pm), sponsored by Pembina Pipeline Corporation.
Youth aged 12 to 15 are permitted to use the Fitness Centre after completing a fitness orientation.

Are you a Parks and Trails advocate?
Do you want to contribute your ideas to the Town's parks and trails infrastructure?
The Town of Bon Accord is recruiting for members of the new Parks and Trails Committee!
We are looking for:
- Adult community members (Bon Accord and Sturgeon County members)
- 1 Youth Member (ages 14-18)
This temporary Committee of Council is volunteer-based and will have meetings on an ad hoc basis.
