Student mobility 2023-2024

Thanks to the Erasmus+ program, we had the incredible opportunity to host seven students from France, Germany, Austria, and Spain for a one-month visit in November 2023. Immersed in the rich cultural tapestry of our host families, each day was a vibrant exchange of traditions, languages, and experiences.

Their presence enriched our lives in countless ways, fostering lifelong connections and deepening our understanding of diversity and unity. We invite you to delve into their inspiring testimonies, each one a testament to the transformative power of international exchange.

Transatlantic Classroom Program

Transatlanttista yhteistyötä vahvistetaan lukioille suunnatussa uudessa ohjelmassa.

The new Transatlantic Classroom program between upper secondary schools in Finland and the United States is designed for small-scale projects including virtual cooperation and/or short exchanges. The main objectives of this program are to increase the internationalization efforts of participating schools as well as develop critical competencies, such as English language skills.  [more]

Teacher internship

Silvia, an Italian teaching intern, will be at Hellu for a couple of months during the spring of 2023. After graduating as a French and Spanish teacher from the University of Bologna, she wanted to gain more knowledge about the Finnish school system, which she has heard many positive things about. So far, Silvia has been highly impressed with the independent and responsible attitude of the students at Hellu in their studies, as well as the positive atmosphere and strong cooperation between both teachers and students. She also appreciates that Hellu prioritizes the well-being of both students and teachers. We are confident that Silvia's time at Hellu will be rewarding, and we hope she will gain valuable insights and tips from her experience with us.
