Hello, I'm Mrs. Malone – Your Off the Leash Manager!
I’m so excited to step into the role of managing Off the Leash, our student-run dog daycare! This year marks my fourth year of teaching, and I’m thrilled to bring both my background in agriculture and my business experience to help our students successfully run this program.
My husband and I are high school sweethearts and have 2 large dogs! Jack is a Heinz 57 that we have had since he was 5 weeks old. His mom was a husky/Shepherd and we don't know what his dad is. Nubs is a Belgian Malinois that we have had since he was about 3 years old. His name is because he is missing a back toe!
For the past three years, I taught at the elementary level and developed strong classroom management skills, but my true passion has always been agricultural education. Off the Leash allows me to combine that passion with hands-on learning opportunities for students. I’m excited to guide them in building real-world skills—customer service, animal care, communication, and business operations—all while providing the community with a safe, fun place for their dogs. I hold an Associate of Applied Science in Equine Science, a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Sciences, and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction. Throughout college, I trained horses, competed on the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association team—earning a National Championship title in Beginner Western Horsemanship—and even served as a student coach. Before teaching, I worked in the feed industry where I helped customers develop nutrition plans and manage the health of their animals, which gave me valuable experience in customer service and business management.
I can’t wait to see our students grow as leaders while we continue to make Off the Leash a place dogs (and their owners) love!
