Grad Ads

Grad Ads are personalized yearbook pages dedicated to your student. They are a great way to tell your favorite seniors how proud you are of their accomplishments, and they are cherished keepsakes for our graduates. We can create a Grad Ad for one senior, or twins, a friend group, or even a team can share a page. Take a look at some of our past Grad Ads here. 

The price of the ad includes the design work, with a page designer who will gather your preferences to create the look you want. We will work with you to create just the right layout, and then add text and favorite quotes. The purchase of the ad helps to reduce the price of the book for students as well as helping to cover the cost of publications staff training. We appreciate your support of our program!

Step 1: Pay for your ad through the bookkeeper in person, or pay online using the instructions here. Cash or check can be used in person or via mail, and credit card payment is available online.

Step 2: Design your ad by giving us a completed electronic ad, using the Jostens site to design your own (choose "Yearbook Recognition Ad"), or uploading your materials and letting us create it. Don't worry--if you ask our staff to design it, we will always send a proof for review before publishing if you turn it in on time.

Option A:  Give us your materials—we’ll do it all for you.

This is the easiest way to get a custom Grad Ad! Submit all your materials to us, choose a template you like, and one of our talented designers will put an ad together for you. You'll give us all the info via Google Form. Our designers will create a proof, usually within a few days, and email it to you for approval, then you just let them know by the date requested on the email  to approve the ad or to make any changes or adjustments. Please note: we will make every effort to get the proof to you and wait for your approval, but as February nears, deadlines from our publisher approach and there isn't always time. 

Option B:  Create your own Grad Ad using the Jostens website

Want to do it yourself but don't know where to start? You can try this easy-to-use Jostens Grad Ad Creator to make your own design, and it will automatically be uploaded into the yearbook for printing. Be aware that yearbook staff will check all content for suitability before the page is submitted, and we will contact you if any changes need to be made.  Here's a quick tutorial video if you need any help. Note that with this option, you will not receive a proof from us before it is published. These are due no later than February 8th.

Option C:  Give us a completed Grad Ad that's ready for publication

You can create your own Grad Ad if you prefer, using the software of your choice.  The sizes are approximately as follows: 

Full page: 10.25 high x 8” wide; 

Half page: 5” high  x 8” wide; 

Quarter page: 5" high x 3.825” wide. 

You can use the software of your choice to create the layout. The ad must be a minimum of 300 DPI. Please upload it to this Google Form.  Be aware that we may need to crop by up to 1/4” on each side depending on exact placement in the book, so you'll want to ensure that you've created a "safe area" of about a quarter inch around the entire thing where there is no writing or important part of a photo, because it could be slightly cropped. Note that with this option, you will not receive a proof from us before it is published.

We recommend using Canva if you're doing your own design because it's quick to learn and easy to save at the proper resolution. Please check out our Tips and Tricks for Creating Your Own Grad Ad to be sure it's the right size and quality.

For all options:

All payments and materials are due no later than February 8th for guaranteed inclusion in the yearbook, unless otherwise noted. Photos taken from  social media are frequently very low quality and may not be visible. Please do not use photos from these sources for the larger photos if possible. Copyrighted material will not be used without written permission of the owner, which must accompany the materials at the time of designing. Text provided will be edited for grammar and conventions, as well as appropriateness for school.
