In this session we will focus on the ways that K-3 teachers can use technology to enhance learning, reflecting and sharing in their classroom. We will focus on both iPad Apps and also Chrome Apps.

Seesaw:

Seesaw Class

Students will:

  1. Open the Seesaw app or website at app.seesaw.me
  2. Choose "I'm a Student"
  3. Tracy will display the code to enter
  4. Sign in with your google account. Once signed in, students stay signed in.

TASK:

  • Join our Seesaw class
  • Click Activities
  • Create your own Seesaw Avatar by following the instructions on the activity.

Creating Activities in Seesaw:

  • Tap the Green button. Click create a new activity.
  • Fill in details of the activity: activity name, student instructions (can include examples and voice instructions), an optional student template, and the student(s) tagged to the activity. Tap 'More Options' to add teacher notes.
  • Tap 'Save' to save the activity to your library.
  • Once the activity is saved, tap 'Share' to select the class(es) where you would like to publish the Activity. You can also tap ‘edit students’ to assign the activity to individual students within a class. Then, tap ‘share with classes’. All activities will appear in the Activities tab in Seesaw. Students will tap the Activities tab to see new activities.
