PROJECT TITLE: Fundraising Sophians

Project Description

• Fundraising Sophians is a fundraising activity that will be done throughout the entire school year to use it as an instrument in order to spread awareness, help people who are in need, and teach the students, faculty members and the entire school in gaining skills and values.

Rationale

• The main objective of this project is to raise or collect a specific amount of money to be given directly to a charity organization inside/outside the school campus to fund them in assisting others.

• It is to bring the entire school together in to achieving one goal and create a positive image for the school that teaches them skills that will prepare them for the future.

• It is to use the influence and active community of the school to help acknowledge and give attention to the people who are suffering because of unfair situations the world has placed them to.

• It is to motivate the students to study and learn not only for themselves but for the sake of others as well for them to achieve their goals and use it to aid others.

Mechanism

• The student council will form a partnership with the organization that focuses on helping others.

• Obtaining permission from the school’s head department into using the school’s social media platforms as a tool to advertise and get others into joining the fundraising activity.

• It will be announced and publicized during the beginning and end part of school events in order to broadcast this project's goal.

• This will be held throughout the entire school year to achieve the specific amount of money (goal).

PROJECT TITLE: Money Money Webinar

Project Description

• Money Money Webinar is an online meeting project that involves the school, its faculty members and students to attend a webinar that discusses Financial Literacy which is an essential knowledge that all of us will need in the entirety of our life.

Rationale

• The purpose of this project is to teach students the importance, value, and history of money.

• It is to give the students an idea on how they are going to tackle problems that are related to finance.

• It is to teach students on how to handle, save and use money in the correct manner to achieve their dreams.

Mechanism

• The SSG will negotiate with the school administration to reach out and coordinate with someone who is considered as a professional or expert in that field.

• With the successful negotiation, a zoom link will be sent on every single student from Gr. 4 – 12 through their EDSCI google accounts.

• The professional will prepare a powerpoint and a lesson that will hugely be focused on financial literacy and teach students on how to control money.
