Hi! My name is Heather Groom and I I live just outside San Diego, CA with my husband, two children, two dogs, and a cat. This is my 8th year teaching, but it is my 12th year working in the classroom and it is a real passion of mine. I worked with Special Education for 5 years prior to becoming a teacher myself, where I have had the honor of teaching Kindergarten through 5th grade. I am so excited for this school year and look forward to inspiring learning across all subjects.

Tennessee is my home state, where I have lived for 44 years. My husband and I live in the Great Smoky Mountains in our forever home with our pet cat Sassy. We enjoy working on old cars, thrifting and antique shopping, cooking and baking, and spending time with our family.
