Hey there, fabulous 3rd grade families! I’m Jessica Cowin, your ELA teacher, and I’m beyond excited to kick off an amazing year of reading, writing, and growing together in 3rd grade! I live in southern Missouri with my husband, six dogs (yes, six!), and one very not-so-patient cat. I earned my dual degree in Elementary and Special Education from Grand Canyon University, followed by a Master’s in Reading—because I love books that much. When I’m not diving into a good story, you’ll find me camping, gardening, floating on the water, or laughing with family and friends. I believe learning should be joyful, messy, and full of discovery. My classroom motto?

Hi! My name is Heather Groom and I I live just outside San Diego, CA with my husband, two children, two dogs, and a cat. This is my 7th year teaching, but it is my 11th year working in the classroom and it is a real passion of mine. I worked with Special Education for 5 years prior to becoming a teacher myself, where I have had the honor of teaching Kindergarten through 5th grade. I am so excited for this school year and look forward to inspiring learning across all subjects.

I live in Michigan with my husband and three daughters. I have been a teacher for 21 years now and it is a real passion of mine. I taught 3rd and 4th grade in the brick & mortar classroom for five years and I was the Reading Specialist for a K-5th brick & mortar school for two years. Since then, I have been working with students online and this is my fourth year partnering with EdOptions Academy to provide virtual learning to our elementary students. I am so excited about our start to the school year!

Hello and welcome! My name is Denise Lewis and I am very excited to begin my 15th year of teaching this year! I am a certified elementary teacher and have endorsements in reading k-12 as well as ESL for k-12. I live in Kentucky with my husband, 3 children and 2 dogs. I am active as a Girl Scout leader and enjoy traveling whenever I can. I recently took up outdoor activities including hiking, camping and kayaking. I am thrilled to start the new year with you!

I'm a small-town Texas girl from Lubbock, TX. I graduated from Texas Tech University with my undergraduate and graduate degree. My sweet family includes my husband Trevor, and our 2 wonderful kids Avery and Tripp. In our spare time you will find us going to the lake, golfing, playing basketball, playing baseball, and camping. I look forward to the new and exciting things this school year brings us.
