My name is Mrs. Calvanese! This is my sixth year as a virtual elementary teacher with Edmentum and 19th year teaching. I will be teaching First Grade English Language Arts and Foundations of Reading this year. I live in sunny Florida with my husband, and college age son and daughter. We also have a rescue dog named Koki! In my spare time I enjoy traveling with my family, reading a good book on the beach, and enjoying all types of food! I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and I am always trying to learn a new tech tool to enhance my virtual lessons and keep them engaging . I am passionate about my students and families. It will be my honor and pleasure to serve you this 2026 - 2027 school year.

My name is Mrs. Hauck and I will be teaching First Grade Social Studies and Science this year. This is my sixth year with EdOptions Academy. I have enjoyed teaching for 28 years.
I live in Summerville, South Carolina with my husband, two daughters, golden retriever and chinchilla. I grew up in Ohio, graduating from Miami University and also earned my Master of Arts in Education from DePaul University. I love working with students and helping build their confidence and learning strategies. I look forward to sharing stories, exploring social studies and science and helping each student grow this year!

My name is Mrs. Long and I am so excited to be your math teacher! This is my 6th year with Edmentum and my 17th year teaching! I live in Houston, TX with my husband, my 10 year-old son, and our TEN crazy little dogs. We have 7 longhair chihuahuas and 3 rescue fur babies! In my spare time you’ll find me at Pilates class, traveling, enjoying a concert, or chilling out with a good book. I graduated from the University of Houston and am passionate about developing strong relationships with my students while creating a life-long love of learning about numbers!
