My name is Ms. Adkins, and this is my fifth year teaching with Edmentum. I will be teaching live lessons in Fifth Grade Science this year. When I'm not teaching Fifth Graders, I'm spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy reading books and baking. I have a cat named Finn who you may see pop into lessons now and then!

Hey there, fabulous 5th grade families! I’m Jessica Cowin, your Math teacher, and I’m beyond excited to kick off an amazing year of reading, writing, and growing together in 5th grade! I live in southern Missouri with my husband, six dogs (yes, six!), and one very not-so-patient cat. I earned my dual degree in Elementary and Special Education from Grand Canyon University, followed by a Master’s in Reading—because I love books that much. When I’m not diving into a good story, you’ll find me camping, gardening, floating on the water, or laughing with family and friends. I believe learning should be joyful, messy, and full of discovery. My classroom motto?
“We will make mistakes, learn, and grow together!” 💪📚
Let’s make this year unforgettable—I’m so ready to learn and laugh with you!
Hi students and families! I am so excited to work with you this school year. As a teacher and mama of 3, I know how important it is to have a team effort to ensure a successful year of learning and growth. I have a Bachelor's degree in Human Development & Family Studies, Master's in Teaching, and certification in Teaching English to Speaker's of Other languages. My ultimate goal is to help instill a lifelong love of learning in every student. Let's have a great year!
I am so excited to be one of your science teachers this year. I was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico and moved to Spring, TX in 1999. I have been teaching for 30 years and and I have been teaching virtually the last 5 years. I am a fresh grandma of a 6 month baby boy, my first grandson!
I live in Austin, Texas with my husband and two sons, Doyle and Lawson. My love and passion for teaching was discovered on a study abroad trip to Jamaica, where I taught math and reading lessons at a Jamaican elementary summer school program. I completed my student teaching in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I participated in the Caretta Research Project, where I assisted in gathering data about the sea turtles. I previously taught in brick and mortar. I have been teaching virtually the past few years and I am loving it!
