August 2025
Dear Edon Northwest Families,
I am very excited about this upcoming year and am looking forward to getting to know you and your family! This is my 18th year of teaching but my 14th year at Edon Northwest. I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself to you.
I grew up in Montpelier. I graduated in May of 2006 in a Bachelors of Art in Early Childhood Education emphasis on Reading from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. I finished my Master’s Degree in Special Education in December of 2009.
I live with my husband, Zeb, 14 year old son, Parker and 11 year old daughter, Zoe. Zeb and I live in Frontier, MI. We keep very busy. Family is a very important part of my life.
I will be spending my morning and afternoon teaching preschool. My dedication will be to your child and I will be working with your child to make their education as successful as possible.
I value the time you allow me to spend with your child. I put a lot of time and effort into my classroom / your child’s classroom and appreciate the joys and successes of each and every experience. I try to remember daily that you are your child’s best teacher, and encourage at home reading!
If you have any questions about my role in your child’s education, please don’t hesitate to ask! If you call, I will return your call as soon as possible. I check my e-mail both at school and home, so that is always a great way to contact me as well.

HI! My name is Mrs. Rummel and I am so excited to be working at Edon Northwest schools. This is my 19th year of teaching. I have spent most of it here at Edon doing what I love. I graduated from Malone University (in Canton, OH) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education (Pre K-3rd grade) and a K-12 Reading Endorsement. I started teaching at St. Joseph Catholic Schools for two years and then came to Edon. I received my masters from BGSU in Curriculum and Teaching and my 4th and 5th grade generalist Endorsement from Walsh. In 2022, I was able to become an Orton-Gillingham Dyslexia Specialist. Teaching reading is truly my love!
Some personal information. I am married to my high school sweetheart who I met here at Edon, Austin. And we have three children together, our daughter Kyla and identical twin boys Korbin and Kastin. We love living here in the country and the small town life. Most evenings we are found outside enjoying our small farm. We also have a dog, two cats and lots of farm animals. I also spend my time here at Edon planning Prom. We love our busy life.
